Doing double duty

In our last post we talked about our cookie jar and how it does double duty as an ice bucket.
{Our girl did not like Hana's comment one bit! She wants us to let all the humans know that the bucket is washed in HOT soapy water before ice is put in it and that we are not allowed to eat out of the cookie jar, except when I stole the cookies while the girl was taking pictures.}

OK, now that we have that business out of the way, on to the main point....
We noticed that the girl not only makes the cookie jar do double duty - she has other things too - and they are mostly ours!

This is our toy box
The girl steals our toy box and stands on it when she needs to change light bulbs.
Turns out, it is really supposed to be a step and not a toy box after all!

Here's another thing that now is doing double duty.
See the pretty picture on the wall?
Instead of being like normal people and buying a wreath or something designed for all of our DWB cards, look what the girl did to the picture.

She covered the picture with wrapping paper and taped our cards to it.
We do have to admit, that we actually like it this way. We can see all of our friends much better this way. Thanks to everyone who sent cards so far!!
But we still think she's cheap!

What things around your house do double duty?

I certainly do double duty! I am the pet, the security, AND the brains of the operation!

Hi, friends!
I like your toy box! We have one like yours that my mom uses to make the heather higher and also to reach things in the closet!
OMD! You have received 40 cards! I want to cry! Me? Zero! The mailman is going to hear me!
Have a good night

Amber-Mae - please do not feel bad that you don't have a card for us. We sent out extra cards to the region C dogs and we know we aren't on their list. That's ok. We just wanted to give you and the other dogs an extra surprise and don't expect cards back. We hoped the card would make you happy - not sad.

Oh I will have to look around and see what does double duty. Does my mom boy count. He is a pillow, a play toy and just my boy who I love.

Hehee, I think your girl just got caught redhanded with treats in the ice bucket!! Anyway, maybe your girl's friends will think it's cool eating ice that taste like dog treats? It'll be the latest fad!
