Last post of the year

We couldn't let our girl start the new year behind and without posting our Christmas pictures, so we made her clean the house and find the cable. Here's what Santa brought this year. Two gifts for our girl and two gifts for both of us.

I was trying to enjoy a beautiful day in the park when all of a sudden something scary started chasing me.

Help! It's. Sucking. Me. UUUUPPPP!!

I have been captured by aliens!

I guess they didn't like my demands, since they ejected me down their garbage shoot!

ps.... Comet and BLU had a nice Christmas and aren't still waiting for Santa. Their girl just can't find the cable to get the photos out of the camera. It might have been sucked up by the aliens too!!

Willow Wednesday

I know that many of our friends go to church on Christmas eve or day. While I was in Phoenix, I decided to check out some of the different churches. Here are some of the ones I saw. This one looks very fancy on the outside.

This is a Spanish mission style chapel.

This is St. Mary's Basilica, which is the oldest Catholic church in Phoenix and was once visited by Pope John Paul II.
This is a Sikh temple that is being build in Comet and BLU's neighborhood.

This church was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

The scab is gone

As many of you might remember, my anal gland sploded the day after Thanksgiving and I had to see the vet and get my butt fixed (and shaved).

I've had a big ugly scab on my butt ever since, and the girl became obsessed with checking it (she wanted to make sure that I wasn't walking around with a glob of poop on my butt).

Today the scab fell off! I'm so happy! Now the girl won't keep looking at my butt. My hair is growing back, but it still looks pretty weird right now.

OK, that's enough embarrassing butt pictures for the day. Either give me a treat or put away the camera!

Oh, and we have solved the mystery of the toys. The girl bought those toys to give to dogs at the AZ Humane Society, so she isn't a complete grinch. It doesn't explain why she is such a grinch with us though. We've been good all year, right?

What's wrong with this picture? Our Christmas tree is supposed to be in the corner where that chair is. But it's not there. Our girl bought a tree but then decided that she didn't feel like putting the tree up this year and took it back to the store!! Can you believe that?

On the way home from returning our tree, she went out and bought a bunch of toys. We were all ready to play with them, but then she said that NONE of them are for us! I ask you my friends, have you ever heard of something so crazy? What are we going to do with our girl?
BLU even tried to look for Santa to have a chat with him.

She didn't find Santa. She only found ashes. We hope it's not from all the coal our girl is going to get!!

Willow Wednesday

Comet and BLU live in a very strange neighborhood. Look at these scary creatures they see when they go for walks. Yikes! Get me out of here!

Please don't eat me, Mr. Dragon!
Don't worry, Willow! Mr. Dragon tries to eat us too when we walk past him.
I show him my teeth and he leaves us alone!
I also like to "water" his plant. He he he.

Not all of the creatures in their neighborhood are scary though.
They also walk past this pretty parrot.
Willow missed a few ..... we also see this bird
and I always try to eat this bird every time I go past it.

I asked this dog to be my friend, but he ignored me. How rude!

Be careful what you wish for....

My girl always gets upset with me when I soak my feet in the water dish after a walk. I didn't want to get in trouble again, so I found a new solution.

Ahhhh..... that feels so good on my feet!

Holiday Card Exchange

We are so excited. We have already received a bunch of cards from our friends on the eskie board and DWBs. We have been working really hard to finish up our cards and mail them out. Last weekend we mailed out the cards to our eskie friends, and this week we worked on the DWBs cards.

I keep trying to count them to make sure we didn't miss anyone, but BLU keeps getting in the way! If she's not going to help, the least she could do is not be a pest!

Ummm....girl.....girl! I don't think we have enough cards here yet! We still need to make more.
I don't want to keep our friends waiting, so let's get the ones that are done to the post office today. I'll make sure the girl doesn't get lazy and she finishes the rest of them this weekend so we can mail them on Monday.

Photo shoot

We've started getting cards already from the DWB exchange. Wow! You guys are fast. We don't even have a picture yet. Our girl decided she better get moving and look at what she did to us. This is the only picture she got, before BLU pulled off her antlers..... and then removed one!

Now we got a new stuffie...... but we still have to pose for pictures.

While I was in Phoenix, I went to Papago Park. Look at this big mountain with a hole in it. I want to climb up and look through that hole! Come on! Let's go!

That hole is up a lot higher than it looks.

I think we are getting closer now.
We're almost there. I can see somebody on the other side of the hole.
Only a couple more steps and we are there.

Wow! What a view of the city.

Even though dogs are allowed in this park, Comet and BLU have never been able to come here. Their girl claims that she isn't coordinated enough to go up to the hole and hold two leashes (or even one!) at the same time. Trust me..... it's true. She was barely coodinated enough to get up there without dropping me. And it's a loooooong way to fall down!
