Resolution #1

One of our resolutions this year is to protect our yard. We didn't think we would have to do it so soon in the year, but when duty calls, we serve.
First you spot the offenders and give a warning bark.Look at the doves just sitting there. They ignored my bark. Can you believe it!

Well! I won't stand for that. It's time to run around the yard doing zoomies and barking.
If they still don't move, then it's time to stand up and bark.

And then bark some more.
I can't believe they aren't gone yet!
Maybe if I stand directly under them and bark they will leave my yard.
They look mighty tasty to me. Once they come down, I think I might have a little nibble.

2009 Resolutions

It's that time of year again. Time for us to make our resolutions for the new year.

We're going to keep an eye on the neighborhood to make sure only the people and dogs we like come into our yard.
We're also going to keep an eye on the back yard and protect it from birds and catsand bugs.
We're going to dig holes to help the girl with her gardening
and help the girl water the yard.
We're going to help the girl eat her food.
We're going to keep the bed warm for the girl so she doesn't get cold at night.
We're going to give our girl lots and lots of snuggles and kisses this year.
What are your resolutions for 2009?

Happy New Year!

We hope all of our friends had a safe night (without too many loud booms) and have a very happy 2009!
Our 2009 is off to a great start. Look, we don't have that wire fence anymore. We can run around in our entire yard.

And we solved the mystery of the aliens.

It turns out that Amber-Mae and the Musketeers were right. Our girl had our old fence removed and replaced it with a wall. We guess workers invaded our yard and not aliens (although we still think there may have been an alien or two!!!)
We still don't have the final gate but most of the scary work is done.

This is what the fence looked like before. Our girl was afraid that it would fall down and we would escape.
Here's another view of the old fence. We liked it because we could see between the boards and snoop on our neighbor.
We can't do that anymore with our new fence, which is a bummer. But, now our girl doesn't have to worry about us escaping. We don't like it when she worries.

We hope your 2009 is off to a great start!

Run for the hills!!

This morning we got brave and decided to check out the space ship. Look at this thing. We think it came from Mars.
While we were sniffing it, the door to the space ship opened up.Run! Run Away! Save yourself!!

Look at the alien that came out of the space ship!

It has really big and scary teeth! We think those teeth are even stronger than our toy destroying teeth! Now that's strong! We found these things all over our yard.
We're not sure what they are, but we think they might be alien poop...or maybe baby aliens??
Either way, we are glad they can't reach us through this fence!

Alien invasion - part 2

This morning I went outside to make sure the aliens didn't come back.So far, the yard looks like it is supposed to look. Here is my fence when I stand at the back of my yard and look towards the house.
Here's a view of my back yard from our driveway.
I took my morning nap, and was woken up by lots of loud noises.
I think the aliens came back. They stole our fence!!!
But then they made a new fence. It's all very strange.
I can see more things (like the neighbor's yard) but I can't go as far. I can't get anywhere near the pokey cactus anymore.

I also can't check out my back gate.
The aliens put the strange new fence all the way up to my porch on one side. Why would they do that? I want the aliens to leave and put my yard back to how it was!

Comet bit his balls off

.....his new toy from grandma. Our grandma knows we destroy stuffies, so she got us rubber toys for Christmas. This is Comet's toy.

Look what he did to his toy. He bit all the little balls off. Our girl grabbed each ball as soon as he bit it off so he couldn't eat them.

I think he bit the balls off his toy to make it look like mine. He's so jealous of me!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of our friends. We hope Santa was good to you this year. When we woke up this morning, this is what we found under the tree.
Look at the size of this stuffie!!

BLU pulled the squeaker out of hers right away.
The girl saved two toys from our festive tree. We each got a stuffed doggie. I'm going to steal its collar.
BLU ripped off its ear, leg, tail, and tore out its squeaker.
The colored rubber toy is from grandma!!
Look what BLU did to the poor little doggie!
Santa was sneaky. He hung these on the tree so we wouldn't attack them first. Guess which one each of us grabbed!
BLU stole the "nice" one.
I'm not so sure I deserve the "naughty" one.

I think I'm going to steal the "nice" one back.

Playing with all our new toys is very tiring. I'm going to nap on my bed of "snow".

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and got lots of toys, love, and treats. Sloppy kisses to you and your families.

ps. Not only did we get more cards than the girl, but we got more presents too. She only had one present under the tree..... and it was a batteryless flashlight! BOL!!!
