How do you welcome your people home from work?

This is how we do it. First Comet guards the door and watches for the girl's car.
Look carefully, you can see his nose in the curtains.

Comet gets all excited and jumps up and down at the door.

BLU runs outside and looks out the back gate to make sure it really is the girl.
Then we both run around like crazy, jumping on the girl, licking and kissing the girl, and trying to trip her. Finally, we eat our breakfast that we saved all day.

BLU changes her name to TuTaDo and decides to shop on Ginza Street in Tokyo.

Hopelessly lost and out of money, TuTaDo enters famous sushi chef Memorinkuchi's restaurant. Memorinkuchi tells TuTaDo that she is very sweet and will make good sushi. TuTaDo thinks it is a job offer. Memorinkuchi has an evil plan in mind.

Where oh where has our girl gone.....

Wow, there were a lot of close guesses about where my girl went. She did go to a canyon, but not Bryce or the Grand Canyon. She went to Canyon de Chelly, in northeastern Arizona. If you click here, you can see more pictures on what she calls her travel blog, but we call it her Abandon the Dogs, Blog. Did she also go to Egypt?

Nope, but she did visit this National Park while she was deserting us. We bet that JB and her mom and dad know where this is.


{Comet and BLU are being quite melodramatic about my leaving. I am home now and was only gone on Friday night. ONE NIGHT! And they were spoiled rotten while I was gone. You would think they would want me to leave more often! ~~their girl}

Abandoned .... again

Our girl abandoned us again this weekend. We got to see Liz, and we each got a Greenie (something our girl NEVER gives us!!) but it was still rude of her to just leave us!

Stinky stinky

What do you do when you smell something really stinky? Roll around in it, of course!!!

This week, our whole house smelled like something really stinky. A bird got in our air vent and died. We loved the smell and wanted to roll around in it. But do you think our girl would let us???

She thought the stinky smell needed to GET OUT of our house.

So look what she did! She got some man to bring a big scary machine into our house to suck out the bird.
And to get rid of all the stinky smell.

What fun is that?
People can be so dumb sometimes!

RIP laptop

We would like to thank Deetz for letting us have a late entry in the scary eye contest. If you want to have nightmares, head on over to Deetz's page and vote.

This is my favorite digging spot. I love to bury things under the edge of the porch.
Since the girl's laptop died, I thought it would be appropriate to give it a proper burial.
Hmmm...maybe I should have dug a deeper hole.
Isn't our new laptop pretty?

Maybe the girl will remember to BACK UP HER DATA this time around. (but we doubt it)

scary eyes

We missed visiting our friends for the last couple of weeks. While grandma was visiting, our girl's computer self destructed. She finally got a new computer so now we can visit our friends again. Woooooooo hooooooo.

Because we were waiting for the new computer, we missed the deadline for Deetz's scary eye contest. Even though we can't enter, we wanted to share pictures (not the best ones, since most of our pictures died with the computer). Ever hear of back up???

10 minutes of fun

Since Comet was naughty and slept on grandma's bed, I decided that I would sneak in and sleep on her bed too.
Instead of her bed, I found a scary box.

Comet! Hurry up and look at this.

Hmmm.... this doesn't look good.

Do these clothes smell like grandma or our girl?I think they are grandma's.

Where did the comfy bed go?I don't know. It was just here a minute ago.

Comet got to nap on the bed and now that grandma's gone, I'm stuck on the floor.

That's what I get for trying to follow the rules.

Don't tell grandma...... I like to nap on her bed when she isn't looking.

Itchy Itchy

I did something this morning that I wish I didn't do.

I went running through some of the tall grass at the back of my yard. It seemed fun at the time, but then I found out that it was really scratchy.

The grass seeds got stuck in my fur and made me itch all over.

My girl and grandma had to pull the scratchy seeds out of my fur.
It wasn't fun!

Grandma's here

Our grandma's flight landed right on time on Sunday. She came all the way to Phoenix from Wisconsin, which is a long way!

BLU met her once before but I've never met her. She's really nice and gives lots of hugs and treats (but doesn't allow kisses).

Our girl's surgery is over and the gull's bladder is out of her tummy. She is home and a bit sore (and is taking pills that make her sleepy) but otherwise doing well. Thanks for all of the positive thoughts that were sent her way. She really appreciates that.

Our grandma is spoiling us. She takes us on long walks and gives us lots of treats. This should be a fun week. We'll post pictures once the girl feels well enough to take some.

Gull's bladder?

This is a gull. We think our girl must have swallowed one of these whole. She has to have an opawation on Monday to remove the gull's bladder from her belly. We don't think that sounds like very much fun.

We love our girl and want to help make sure everything is ok. We grabbed all of our doctoring equipment.
I'll give her a shot to make sure she doesn't feel any pain.

The girl's mom (GM) is coming to stay with us for a week while our girl gets better. She's flying on American Airlines; we don't know if she will be able to get here, since they keep cancelling flights. Maybe we will need to book an emergency flight on Aire Ruby - if she will even allow people on her flights. I'm all ready to help nurse my girl back to health if GM can't get here.
