Walk time

Hey girl!
Stop being so lazy today and take us for a walk!
I know the leashes are in here. Do you need me to open the door for you?

Our girl took the advice some of our friends gave and moved our water bowl outside before we left. BLU had to rinse her feet and make her wet foot mess outside.
But that meant that I was also stuck out back until BLU's feet were dry, and the dirt on my feet dried. That doesn't seem fair.
I guess I will just take a nap and guard my rock until the girl lets us back in the house.
Finally! She let us go back inside!

stealth

Most nights, my girl sits on the couch and watches tv as she eats her dinner. Sometimes she pays so much attention to the show that she doesn't see me sneaking up on her. Look at that yummy piece of food. Do you think it's chicken?
Quick! Attack it.

mmmmmm..... oh so good!

Make sure there is no evidence left. You've got to move fast or you will get caught.

Try to look innocent and hope she won't remember that she had a bite ready to eat.

Goodbye Hana

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend, Hana. On Friday, she put on her rainbow wings and flew across the Rainbow Bridge. All the eyes in our house are wet and leaking right now, but we know that when it is our time to cross the bridge, Hana will be waiting for us, fluttering around in her beautiful wings.

And if you are afraid of flying, she will be there to pick you up in her sporty car and drive you around.

There is so much that we will miss about Hana. We'll miss her carefree and wild spirit. We will miss that she was a perfect Eskie ambassador.

We will miss her beautiful smile and the spark in her eye.

We will miss how she loved everyone she met (even cats!!)
We will even miss her cute pink nose.

We hope there are unlimited french fries and toys waiting for you.
Goodbye sweet Hana. We will miss you! Thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter into the world.
Please stop by Hana's blog to let her mom and dad know how much she meant to you. We know they are devastated right now and could use words of support.

Not washing.....cooling!

Comet got it wrong. I like to soak my feet after a walk, not wash them! The hot sidewalk makes my feet hot, and I like to cool them off in the water dish. Plus, since I usually get to the water dish first, it has the added bonus of making Comet drink my dirty foot water! HA!
EEEWWWWWW!!!! I'm going to drool in the water dish as revenge.

Blame BLU

Want to know why our girl doesn't like to take us for walks? It's BLU. Count her feet. How many do you see? One....two...three.....
Where's the fourth one? Look in the water bowl!
Every time BLU leaves the house (except for the back yard) she has to wash her feet when she returns. Just look at the wet mess she is making on the bathroom floor!!
And then she tracks her dirty wet feet all over the house.
Look at messy BLU!!! I think from now on the girl should just take me for walks and leave little miss foot soaker at home.

ps. we did get lots of treats for dressing up

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
The friends that warned us to run because the girl bought us costumes were right. We tried to run and hide, but she tricked us with yummy treats!

She tried to dress us up as pumpkin patch fairies. Our fur hides the skirts though.

I think I better get a really good treat for putting up with this humiliation!

I want more treats!!!

Cooking with Comet and BLU

Our girl felt sick this morning and decided to sleep all day instead of going to work. While she was sleeping, we decided to make her a big pot of soup.

Everyone knows that chicken soup is good for you when you are sick, so we grabbed the chicken.

BLU did a great job opening the bags.
You also need vegetables for soup. Since vegetables are green, we thought greenies would work.
This seems kind of big to put in soup.

Let me break that into smaller pieces for you!

We think biscuits would be good in the soup too.

Here, let me grab a few for you.

...and a few pieces of kibble too.

We just need to add the water.....

Now, plug in the crock pot and let it cook all day. We can't wait for our girl to wake up from her nap and find our delicious soup. Do you think she will like it?
Updated:
After smelling our soup cook all day, look what we ended up with. Our girl thought it was delicious (and even shared some with us!!). She thinks we followed one of her recipes though, and posted it on her food blog. Don't tell her our secret recipe! hehehehe

New Stuff

Look at this stuff that our girl bought today. We aren't sure if it is the making of a fun toy, or if she's up to something sneaky. Should we prepare for fun, or run and hide?

Find the right toy

Life at our house as been pretty boring lately.
To make things a little more exciting, I decided to 'splode the toy box this morning.

Look what I found!

Comet found a fun rope toy to pull.
ps. Thanks for all the advice we received about not eating corn cobs.

Corn!

When my girl at the beef soup leftovers, she decided to add fresh corn to it. I love to chew on corn cobs.
First I have to lick it all over.

After I bite off any remaining kernals, I bite a big chunk of the cob. I can usually eat one chunk, but my girl isn't sure if that's good for my tummy, so she takes it away after I get my first chomp. That's why I make it a big one.
Do any of you know..... is it ok for me to eat the cob?

Counter surfing

Something in the kitchen smelled really good. I know I'm not supposed to counter surf, but it smelled sooooo goooood!!
Look what I found! Kibble with beef soup broth and a big chunk of beef in it.

I think I should get Comet's bowl too. He's being naughty while I am just begging from the middle of the kitchen.

Our girl gave us both some. Yum! I hope we get some of the leftovers tomorrow too. She has the recipe here on her food blog.

Morning ritual

Do you have any morning rituals? I do.
When my girl first starts to wake up in the morning, I hop on the bed and snuggle with her (and get tummy rubs) until she decides to get out of bed. I jump off the bed while she is getting up, but then the second she is out of the bed, I jump back on and roll all over her pillows and the spot where she slept.
