All gone

It turns out that we couldn't destroy the dinosaurs as quickly as we can destroy stuffies. No worries though. I took care of hiding the evidence.

Dinosaur attack

After Hana called our girl ancient, we began to wonder how old our girl really is. Well, we think we have an answer. Look what we found buried in the back of our girl's closet. DINOSAURS!!! She really is ancient!!
Maybe if we eat the evidence, nobody will know that our girl is old.

Good plan! I'm chewing as fast as I can.

Quick! Hide! I think sombody is coming.
I'll hide in my crate to get rid of the evidence.

Party Time!

All day yesterday, we cleaned the house for a big party. Our girl moved our crate out of the living room and added a few extra chairs. We bet she invited all of our DWB friends as a surprise for us.
She also spent the afternoon slicing, and chopping, and arranging food and flowers.
Look at this spread! We are sure to have something all of our friends will enjoy.
We have a tray of 4 cheeses. We know Joey will like that.
There's another fancy cheese on this tray. We put clementine oranges all the way around it because we know that Lorenza, Maggie and Mitch, and Casper love to eat them.
Here is a plate of shrimp. We Looooooove shrimp. We think our friends will like it too. Maybe Murphey will like the limes, since he likes lemons.

Here are some veggies for our friends on a diet. There isn't any dip in there yet, but we have lots in the fridge.
I'm not sure why the girl put grapes on the table. None of our friends can eat those because they are bad for dogs!! Next to the grapes is a nice tray of cucumbers, olives, and pita chips. Hummus goes in the other bowl. We love hummus!
We think this is a pretty good spread. We even have the trash bag convenient for our friends who are so inclined to snoop in there. Now all we have to do is wait for everyone to show up.

The girl got out all the fancy glasses.

And a bunch of stuff that we don't think our friends would actually like to drink.
Wait just a minute! We just found out that the party isn't for us and our friends. What a ripoff! The girl said that we have to spend the party in the back yard. This is sooooooo unfair!!
You can't believe how torturous this was. We could smell food cooking. We could hear people laughing. And we had to stay outside in the cold!

And then, to top it off, it turns out that people brought gifts for our girl. And where are our gifts???? We are still waiting for them.
Look at the pretty vase with the red flowers. The girl got the vase and flowers as a gift.

She also got these gifts. We really don't think she needs more alcohol. Did you see how much she already had?
And what is this bad dog thing? Are her friends calling us bad? Are they giving us tips on how to be bad? And why is Joey on the cover?
At least we each got a couple of small pieces of cheese after everyone went home.

Wubba Update

Guess where I found this ball.It was in the middle of the red wubba!
If you look really close, you can see a green ball still in there. What should I do next?
Should I try to get the green ball out?
Should I try to get the balls out of the blue wubba?
Or should I just play with the ball I already pulled out?

Resolution #1

One of our resolutions this year is to protect our yard. We didn't think we would have to do it so soon in the year, but when duty calls, we serve.
First you spot the offenders and give a warning bark.Look at the doves just sitting there. They ignored my bark. Can you believe it!

Well! I won't stand for that. It's time to run around the yard doing zoomies and barking.
If they still don't move, then it's time to stand up and bark.

And then bark some more.
I can't believe they aren't gone yet!
Maybe if I stand directly under them and bark they will leave my yard.
They look mighty tasty to me. Once they come down, I think I might have a little nibble.

2009 Resolutions

It's that time of year again. Time for us to make our resolutions for the new year.

We're going to keep an eye on the neighborhood to make sure only the people and dogs we like come into our yard.
We're also going to keep an eye on the back yard and protect it from birds and catsand bugs.
We're going to dig holes to help the girl with her gardening
and help the girl water the yard.
We're going to help the girl eat her food.
We're going to keep the bed warm for the girl so she doesn't get cold at night.
We're going to give our girl lots and lots of snuggles and kisses this year.
What are your resolutions for 2009?

Happy New Year!

We hope all of our friends had a safe night (without too many loud booms) and have a very happy 2009!
Our 2009 is off to a great start. Look, we don't have that wire fence anymore. We can run around in our entire yard.

And we solved the mystery of the aliens.

It turns out that Amber-Mae and the Musketeers were right. Our girl had our old fence removed and replaced it with a wall. We guess workers invaded our yard and not aliens (although we still think there may have been an alien or two!!!)
We still don't have the final gate but most of the scary work is done.

This is what the fence looked like before. Our girl was afraid that it would fall down and we would escape.
Here's another view of the old fence. We liked it because we could see between the boards and snoop on our neighbor.
We can't do that anymore with our new fence, which is a bummer. But, now our girl doesn't have to worry about us escaping. We don't like it when she worries.

We hope your 2009 is off to a great start!
