Food fight!

I don't like this. I don't like it one bit. Comet and I had a nice system down at dinner time. The girl would put food in each of our bowls, then we would each take a bite or two, then switch bowls to taste the other's food. Since they tasted the same, we would eat as much as we wanted, then save the rest for later, nibbling throughout the day.

A few weeks ago, the girl started messing with our system. She bought me a new food, but Comet got to eat the same food. I don't know why she did this. I like the old food better, and Comet likes the new food better, but she won't let us switch. It just doesn't make sense.

I keep looking at her and begging for the new food, but she just says that the vet told her I needed special food. I don't like my special food. When the girl puts down my bowl, I right away run to Comet's and he runs to mine. The girl switches it on us, and Comet and I try to eat out of the same bowl. I'll tell you this, one bowl isn't big enough for the both of us. So we fight.

The girl thought she was being clever by putting our food into different kong toys, but Comet and I switch toys when the girl isn't looking. Instead of letting us have our way, the girl switches it back. It's not fair, I tell you. It's just not fair!

Why do you need to have new food?

I don't know. It has something to do with when the girl made me pee in a cup. The vet said something about starting to develop kidney problems, and the girl needed to put me on a kidney diet. At first I thought that I got to eat lots of kidneys (or at least kidney beans), but I guess it didn't work that way. I feel fine though. I want my old food back.

The girl has been watching which food we eat a lot closer now. And it's all Comet's fault. He's been sneaking my new food and his poop has been dryer and sticks to his butt and fur, rather than falling to the ground. Since the girl doesn't like to clean up his poopy mess, she's being mean with the food!

hey BLU,

i know you don't like it but mom (in your case, girl) knows best! so i think you have to stick to the plan. do you think if your girl feed you two in different time, you two will not fight over the food? while one of you eat, the other one will be on a walk or something to keep busy.

wet wet licks

yes, we went through this too. first shiro had to go on sensitive stomach food, but it made me (akira) have runny you know what, so i had to stay on the regular food that made shiro throw up. now, though, we're both on the same food, so it works out. but before, sis had to put our food bowls on either side of her, and sometimes even hold up mine right under my chin where shiro couldn't reach it! it was a lot of work on her part. it's much nicer now that we can have the same food. good luck!

Stewy and I have to eat apart, otherwise I inhale my food and then nug Stewy out and eat his food too! Mum puts Stewy's food at the table and he sits in a chair and eats like a people. I have tried but I can not get in the chair to reach the food. However, this evening I was able to score a half eaten sandwich that was a little too close to the edge. -Dad was not happy for some reason.

Maybe your girl should start you both out with the wrong bowl and let you switch over to the right bowl?!! heheheh!

My mom just bought us new food too. Seems she thinks we are having allergies to our old food. We'll see!

ewwe stinky sticky poopy butt! GROSS.

Maybe you are really eating KID KNEES!!!! You can never be sure!

OH boy..... I don't blame you, those kidney foods are yucky. That Comet sure has weird taste in things!!

Maybe your girl can home cook your kidney food for you so you will like it? Let my mum know if you would like recipes, she has them as I have slight renal insufficiency.

As for Comet, he needs a lot more energy than what the KD food would provide, so tell him to eat his regular food (like he'll listen) LOL.

Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade

Thanks for all the suggestions. It gives us more fun games to drive the girl nuts! hehehehe.

Sunshine,
I would love it if the girl made me special food, but she doesn't even cook for herself. I don't think she would cook anything for me. Plus, Comet would probably try to eat it anyway!
