Yummy treats!

On Christmas eve, our girl went to visit some of her friends. She made an appetizer by mixing goat cheese with dill, and then stuffing it into cherry tomatoes. She had a lot of cheese left over, so she did this with the leftovers. She added some of it to squash.
Then she mixed it all up. Doesn't that look good? But guess what, she still had some cheese left over.
So she gave it to us!!!!! YUMMMMMM!
And then we got to lick the bag clean.
and we mean really clean. We didn't miss a drop of that cheese!

Xmas loot

Look at what Santa brought us.
Toys! Hooray!! We love toys!

Hey, wait a second, this one came without stuffing!
So did this one .... but I'm going to shred it anyway.
Ahhh...... a stuffed toy to destroy!
What a fun Christmas. We hope all our friends got lots of toys too!

Merry Christmas

We hope all of our friends had a merry Christmas. We will update with pictures of our loot once our girl cleans the evil virus off her computer.

Lamb gravy

We totally scored tonight! The girl cooked this yummy dinner of lamb in her crock pot.
She had some extra juice (and lamb fat) left over, so she added it to our kibble.
It was so good, we totally snarfed it down.
Yum! Yum! Yum!
We think Christmas came early at our house tonight!

Melon!!

What's this on the floor?
Do you think it's a trick, or should I take a piece?
Yum! Trick or not, I'm going to eat this melon.
I'm going to eat it all....before BLU finds any of it.

Willow Wednesday

I guess I should have paid better attention to this sign while I was inspecting all the statues for Memorial Day.

Can you believe this?  At first I thought he just wanted to pet me.

But then he put the cuffs on me.
Officer, I'm really really sorry about climbing on the statues!

HELP!!!!  Does anyone know a good lawyer?

Willow Wednesday

In honor of the upcoming Memorial Day, we wanted to pay tribute to all of the veterans and people who have served and protected our country.
This statue is honoring the Navajo Code Talkers.

This is the anchor from the USS Arizona that was sunk during Pearl Harbor.
While we often think of military service during Memorial Day, let's not forget about the police officers that give their lives to protect us - including our 4-legged K9 friends.

I hope this is big enough that you can read this. If the text in the picture is too small for you to see, you can read the poem online here.

Puddles!!

Coming back from our walk tonight, look what I found.
PUDDLES!!

I wonder where all this water came from. It didn't rain today.

Look, my whole street is flooded.

It's taking a looooong time for them to get the puddles to stop. It's almost bed time and they have bright lights shining in our window and making lots of noise.

Listen to how loud they are!!

Kitty invasion!!

Good Morning! Want to see what we see on our morning walks?
Let's Go!!!

We see cats.
Lots of cats.
We see black cats.

We see white cats.

We see cats on fences.

We see cats on couches.

We see cats under chairs.

And cats under cars.

Do you see the cat in this picture?

How about now?

Look what else we found! It isn't a cat, but it also looks pretty tasty!!

Willow Wednesday

Arizona's governor is signing all sorts of crazy laws lately. I think I need to have a chat with her. Do you think I need an appointment?

Happy Cinco de Mayo. I think I will start my celebration at this mayan pyramid.
And then go get some carne asada!

Willow Wednesday

No trip to Phoenix is complete without taking a nice hike in the desert.
Here I am at South Mountain Park. This is the largest municipal park in the country!
I bet you can't even tell that I am in the middle of the city.

Naturally, I had to see a saguaro cactus. They are very tall (and sharp!)
I tried really hard to be good and stay on the marked trails.

There were all sorts of interesting buildings at the entrance of the park.

Can you find me in this picture?

Scorpion Gulch?  Nobody told me there were scorpions here! I'm glad I didn't know that BEFORE I went hiking.
I'm going to toss a penny in the wishing well and wish that I never see a scorpion!!
