Sean Penn turned Comet into a baboon!

Comet broke his butt and had to go to the vet. Look at it. He looks like a baboon!!!
Our regular vet was closed today, so our girl took him to see Sean Penn. ????? He fixed Comet's butt, but gave him a really bad haircut. Maybe he should stick with acting and not give any more haircuts. hehehehe. At least my butt is still cute!!

{the girl adds..... Comet's anal gland ruptured this morning. The vet drained it and cleaned it up, but now Comet's on antibiotics and pain medication. He's doing ok but very groggy from the drugs. The new vet's name really is Sean Penn, although he's not the actor.}

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our DWB friends! We are thankful that we have such great friends that keep visiting us, even though we have been lax at leaving messages on your blogs (we visit - but our girl just hasn't left many messages lately).

We are very thankful that our friends told us that they also go wild when then leashes come out. Now our girl understands how exciting walk time is.
We are also thankful that our girl decided to share her yummy Thanksgiving dinner with us. Look at what she had to eat.Now look at what we got! YUM! Can you see me sniffing it from under the table?

The turkey and mashed sweet potatoes smelled so good that I couldn't wait until she handed me my plate. I table surfed and grabbed it.
Then I gobbled it all down.
There's no way that I'm going to leave any behind. This was such a yummy treat!
I was polite and waited until my girl handed me my plate. And then I ate it all!
Now it's time for a nap!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Willow Wednesday

One of the places I got to visit in Phoenix was the Rosson House Museum. Look how pretty it was all decorated with the pumpkins out front. It looks just perfect for Thanksgiving.
Then I compared it to Comet and BLU's house. What? No pretty pumpkins?
I made their girl take me to the pumpkin patch, but she didn't buy any! Comet wanted to come with us, but his girl said no --- that she would have to buy all the pumpkins that Comet peed on. I think he should have been allowed to come. At least that way she would have bought a pumpkin!

Walk time mania

Don't be fooled by this calm happy face. Behind the smile is a maniac!!

What a crazy boy! I'm being calm and waiting to get my leash on, and he keeps jumping into our girl and body slamming me. I think somebody needs to just calm down!!

BLU should hardly talk! Even though it looks like we are going on a nice calm walk, she is all over the place.

First we have to slow down and wait for her, and then she runs ahead, and then turns around, and then zig zags all over the place. Is it any wonder our girl gets frustrated! BLU needs better leash training!

Willow Wednesday

Hi friends of Comet and BLU. My name is Willow. I'm a toy American Eskimo dog. My cousin Wendell and I travel around and visit friends on the Eskie Board. Wendell and I get to see all sorts of cool places and meet all sorts of fun dog friends, and their people. It's a lot of fun.

I visited Comet and BLU during the first two weeks of October, but I couldn't tell anyone I was there. I had to wait for my adventure (Stop #20) to be posted, and for members to guess who I was visiting. It's a really fun game! Now that they guessed where I was, I can share my adventures with you.
When I arrived at Comet and BLU's house, I was trapped in this little box for 2 extra days because their girl was out of town.
I was barely at Comet and BLU's house for a week when their girl pulled out her purple box and filled it with clothes. Comet tried to sneak me in, so I could spy on her and report back.

He even begged his girl to take me along.

His mean girl wouldn't take me, and I had to spend 3 more days of my visit in my box, in her closet. It was dark and scary there, but she said Comet and BLU wouldn't be able to eat me if I was there. Eat me??? What kind of crazy dogs are they?
Speaking of eating, look at the cool restaurant I got to visit. She didn't even bring home anything to share with Comet and BLU. How unfair is that?
Tune in every Wednesday to follow my adventures through Phoenix. I got to visit some places that Comet and BLU like, and some that they have never even seen.

Walk time

Hey girl!
Stop being so lazy today and take us for a walk!
I know the leashes are in here. Do you need me to open the door for you?

Our girl took the advice some of our friends gave and moved our water bowl outside before we left. BLU had to rinse her feet and make her wet foot mess outside.
But that meant that I was also stuck out back until BLU's feet were dry, and the dirt on my feet dried. That doesn't seem fair.
I guess I will just take a nap and guard my rock until the girl lets us back in the house.
Finally! She let us go back inside!

stealth

Most nights, my girl sits on the couch and watches tv as she eats her dinner. Sometimes she pays so much attention to the show that she doesn't see me sneaking up on her. Look at that yummy piece of food. Do you think it's chicken?
Quick! Attack it.

mmmmmm..... oh so good!

Make sure there is no evidence left. You've got to move fast or you will get caught.

Try to look innocent and hope she won't remember that she had a bite ready to eat.

Goodbye Hana

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear friend, Hana. On Friday, she put on her rainbow wings and flew across the Rainbow Bridge. All the eyes in our house are wet and leaking right now, but we know that when it is our time to cross the bridge, Hana will be waiting for us, fluttering around in her beautiful wings.

And if you are afraid of flying, she will be there to pick you up in her sporty car and drive you around.

There is so much that we will miss about Hana. We'll miss her carefree and wild spirit. We will miss that she was a perfect Eskie ambassador.

We will miss her beautiful smile and the spark in her eye.

We will miss how she loved everyone she met (even cats!!)
We will even miss her cute pink nose.

We hope there are unlimited french fries and toys waiting for you.
Goodbye sweet Hana. We will miss you! Thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter into the world.
Please stop by Hana's blog to let her mom and dad know how much she meant to you. We know they are devastated right now and could use words of support.

Not washing.....cooling!

Comet got it wrong. I like to soak my feet after a walk, not wash them! The hot sidewalk makes my feet hot, and I like to cool them off in the water dish. Plus, since I usually get to the water dish first, it has the added bonus of making Comet drink my dirty foot water! HA!
EEEWWWWWW!!!! I'm going to drool in the water dish as revenge.

Blame BLU

Want to know why our girl doesn't like to take us for walks? It's BLU. Count her feet. How many do you see? One....two...three.....
Where's the fourth one? Look in the water bowl!
Every time BLU leaves the house (except for the back yard) she has to wash her feet when she returns. Just look at the wet mess she is making on the bathroom floor!!
And then she tracks her dirty wet feet all over the house.
Look at messy BLU!!! I think from now on the girl should just take me for walks and leave little miss foot soaker at home.
~~Comet
ps. we did get lots of treats for dressing up
