Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

As a halloween treat, the girl got us a (that means one!) pumpkin toy. Two of us - one toy. And she got it from the dollar store. What a cheapskate - she could have got one for each of us!

BLU grabbed it first. It took her a whopping 10 seconds to rip off its hat and bite a few holes in it. Then she was bored.

I then took the toy and pulled all the stuffing out of it.
When we only get one toy, we have to tag-team destroy it.

Then my girl thought she was being funny, and made me wear the pumpkin's hat.

Just wait until tomorrow.
We will show her a good trick!

BLU's birthday (sort of)

I got to celebrate my birthday today. I'm not sure when it really is, because I don't know how to read a calendar. About 8 years ago, I decided to follow the girl home and refused to leave her house. She took me to the vet to get shots, and they said I was about a year old. I guess that makes me 9 now!

Remember the fancy biscuit that the girl got Comet for his birthday? Well...... I didn't get one.

I got something MUCH better! I got a corn dog! Doesn't that look really really yummy? Comet got a dumb biscuit, and I got a corn dog. The girl loves me more!

Doesn't that look just delicious? Well, let me tell you, it was!
Here I am eating my yummy birthday treat. I really would have liked both halves, but the girl insisted that I had to share with Comet. Boooo to that!

Then it was time to open my present. I went outside and got all excited. I thought I found my present hiding on my neighbor's house.

At first I thought this was going to be the Best. Present. Ever! I got all excited imagining how much fun it would be to chase, and shake, and destuff!

Unfortunately, that wasn't my present. Comet picked out a boring nylabone for me. It's not as exciting as the cat, but I still like it.

BLU

Mickey did it

We would like to thank Zach and our friends at the Eskie Board. Once they started suggesting that mice filled the shoes, the girl didn't want to hear about it and let us off the hook. We'll have to remember that - next time we get in trouble, we will blame it on mice!

Who did this????

Hey doggies, this is Comet and BLU's girl. They can't come to their blog right now. First, they need to fess up or rat out the guilty party.

Today I decided to clean the closet in my office. I was pulling a few things out, when all of a sudden, a bunch of brown things scattered across the floor. I nearly had a heart attack thinking I had an army of roaches living in there! Upon further inspection, this is what I found - a big pile of dog food. I didn't put it there, so who did?

I realized that I had bumped a shoe before all the food scattered across the floor. I pulled out the shoe, and found a few pieces of food in it. How weird!
Then I pulled out the other shoe. It was packed full of dog food. It seems unbelievable that Comet or BLU would fill my shoes with food. But if not them, then who? That's the question, and they aren't telling me any answers.

This shoe is packed full - all the way to the toes! I bet all the food that spilled was packed into the other shoe! Why on earth would I have two shoes packed full of dog food. And could Comet and BLU have done this, or are there other forces of evil that lurk in my closet?
I went to get the broom to clean up the mess, and came back to find Comet eating the food out of my shoe! At least that would explain why he has been so obsessed about getting into the closet for the last couple of months.
Between the food that spilled and that in my shoe, (not including what Comet ate) I swept up a big pile.
So, until further notice, this blog is being held hostage until I get some answers. If you ever want to hear from Comet and BLU again, you better get them to talk! I need to know who - when - and why!

Stinky ball

For those of you who asked about the NOW command, it's basically the same thing as COME. The girl is supposed to use NOW instead of come when she doesn't want to give me a choice (like if I run out near traffic). Up until now, I didn't realize I had a choice when she said come. Good to know that I do!

I like your ideas for NOW better. I think I should use it when I want to be fed NOW! When I want to be walked NOW! When I want to play NOW!

My girl thought I looked like a frog catching a bug in this picture. I think she needs to get more sleep. She also thinks it's weird that my hind legs poke out towards the front when I sit. I don't know what's so weird about it. Her legs poke out when she sits too!

My girl thought she was being so clever. She gave me a confusing toy. It smelled like food, but it felt like a toy. Here I am playing with it.

After I played with it for a while, the girl broke open the ball and ate the inside. She gave me a couple pieces and it was really sweet and yummy. The outside isn't so yummy though. Here she is making me smell the stinky orange ball.

The girl thought it was really funny to chase me with the stinky orange ball. I didn't think it was funny, and ran and hid in my box.

Top secret mission

I had class again tonight. Walking into Petsmart tonight, I remembered Sara (and her "mom") from our class. She wanted to say hello, so I actually let her sniff my nose. I didn't like it when she went to sniff my bottom, and my girl moved me right along and out of the way. Then, once class was about to start, I decided I wanted to sniff Heidi - the great dane. All was going well until she stuck out her GIANT tongue to lick me. That scared me and my girl called me back to her. I hid under her chair for a while after that.

There was a new dog in class tonight. It was a German shepherd mix puppy. He was really annoying. He kept trying to play while the rest of us were trying to pay attention. Today we learned to stay (which I already knew) and a new command - NOW! I don't know the difference between NOW! and come - other then the girl gave me much better treats for NOW!

After class was over, the girl took me on a top secret mission. I got to pick out a toy. But not for me. It's a secret gift.

She remembered!

The girl remembered. On Saturday, I got to go to class. Nobody else was there though. They cancelled the Saturday class. It was ok. The trainer caught me up with both of the missed classes in about a half hour. That's because I'm so smart.

Tonight we went to the real class. There were 5 other dogs there. I was nervous at first, and didn't like it when any of them got close to me to sniff. A couple of them were playing, which looked really fun. I really wanted to play with them but then they would get too close and I would change my mind.

Tonight we learned "down", "leave it" and "take it". I already knew those things, so I looked really smart. Maybe next week I will let another dog sniff me.

Psychic eskie predicts end of the world....

OK, maybe not the end of the world, but still not something I like!

Last week Hana predicted that our girl was going to go out of town again this week. Tonight our girl put clothes in the black box again! She hasn't even been home a full week! And I am supposed to go to class on Monday! What is wrong with that girl?

How did Hana know about this trip? What other magical powers does she possess? Does she have a magical second set of ears like Ronak?

Sit. Stay. Heel. Come.

That's what I was SUPPOSED to learn yesterday at my first day of obedience class. And where was the girl? She was SUPPOSED to take me to class. But she and her black bag were off in some place called Washington DC. I don't know where that is, but I do know that it wasn't class!

She got home tonight, and all I can say is that she better not screw up again next Monday and miss class.
