Willow Wednesday

No trip to Phoenix is complete without taking a nice hike in the desert.
Here I am at South Mountain Park. This is the largest municipal park in the country!
I bet you can't even tell that I am in the middle of the city.

Naturally, I had to see a saguaro cactus. They are very tall (and sharp!)
I tried really hard to be good and stay on the marked trails.

There were all sorts of interesting buildings at the entrance of the park.

Can you find me in this picture?

Scorpion Gulch?  Nobody told me there were scorpions here! I'm glad I didn't know that BEFORE I went hiking.
I'm going to toss a penny in the wishing well and wish that I never see a scorpion!!

That is an incredible park, we have been there! Not fun in the daytime in summer, though...now is the perfect time of year to enjoy it!
