Squash Thief

Look at this yummy squash that my girl made for dinner tonight. It smelled so good that I drooled the entire time she was eating it.
Can you believe that she ate the entire thing and didn't give me any!
I really really wanted a taste of it. So, when she was opening the cabinet to throw the skin away, I snuck up on her. And then STOLE IT!!!!!!

This is the tiny piece that she was able to hold on to. I took the rest and swallowed it before she could get it out of my mouth! And it was delicious.  In fact, it was so good, that I jumped up and stole the piece she is holding while she was taking the picture. And ate that too!!
I know I should be ashamed of myself for stealing the squash skin, but I'm not. I'd do it again! In fact, I tried to steal the second half of it too, but she was too quick for me this time.

Even though I was really naughty for stealing food, I've convinced the girl to save the other squash skin. She's worried though that it might make me sick.

So friends, I need your help. Tell my girl that squash skins won't make me sick and that she can give me the other half. That way I don't have to raid the trash for it.

I think the skin of any fruit or veggie is really healthy for us and the humans. Yum!

You are sneaky. Haha! But if you are ok after eating one half then I think you will be fine eating the other half also.

Maybe next time your girl can make two squash--one for her and one for you and Blu to share! I think it is supposed to be very good for you...I like spaghetti squash and pumpkin!

Like what Teddy Bear said, the skin of any fruit or veggie is really healthy. I was once told that all the nutrients are stuffed right in there. Now that you mentioned it, I guess I'll let my Golden Retriever, Matthew to try some of those. But well, he's already very happy with his favorite brand of dog treats. So no worries, Comet!
