Goldbricking

We are starting to get worried that our friends will think we are goldbricking for not visiting them. It couldn't be further from the truth. We are just bricking. Or at least our girl is trying to. Ever since she had the wall around our yard built, she has been talking about expanding our patio. You can see the spot she wants it, where we just have dirt and no gravel in the yard.

Her problem is that she can't decide on what kind of brick she wants. So she spends all of our blogging and visiting time going to landscaping stores to look at bricks. How dull is that!

She thinks she might kinda, sorta like these bricks.
She thinks these are pretty, but they cost more money than she wants to spend.
She thinks these have a cool shape and might be fun, but worries that she might get bored with them.
BORED with bricks!! Is it possible to ever be excited about bricks???

Usually when she can't decide, it means that she hasn't found what she likes. Which means that she is going to steal more of our blogging time looking.
I think she should leave it just like this. It's easier for me to dig this way.
What you do think she should do?

BLU: I don't care what she does as long as she doesn't block the underground city I'm building.

  1. It is always shocking to me just what humans think is interesting. Bricks? Now if your girl was spending that much time thinking about treats and toys, that would be time well spent.

  5. Ooooh, nice bricks! They will be nice and cool to lay on, don't you think? I asked my Mommy, to get a girl's opinion and she likes the second photo. The different sizes and colors are very nice.

  9. I know bricks SOUND boring but think about how cool they are in the summer heat and how warm they will be in the winter sun...there are definite advantages you should think about!

I live in New Mexico and for our patio extension my dad used 18" clay tiles (terra cotta). It is sort of SW traditional and is cheap and easy to install. Maybe your girl might look at those.

  11. My G-Mom said she should just go with the first one and get it done. This way she will have more time for blogging and playing.
To tell you the truth, I am surprised at G-Mom cause she can never make up her mind....he he.

Any type of bricks is fine, just make sure the big bad wolf can't blow your house in...

  16. No fair, of yur mommy to look fur & think of bricks on yur blogging time! Years ago R daddy had someone brick R run on the side of the house. Mommy & daddy had to do that cuz they had gravel on the side run & they had 1 Sibe that ate rocks & had to have several surgeries until they gave the dum-dum back to the breeder. Daddy let the brick layer think of a pattern wif red bricks. It's great fur us to pee & poop on.
